PUMPtoberfest – Celebrate 15 Years of PUMP

One of the many organizations that does good things in Pittsburgh is PUMP.  PUMP stands for Pittsburgh Urban Magnet Project and was founded 15 years ago when a grad student wrote a letter to the editor of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Networking and Sports. You have probably seen someone walking around Pittsburgh in a bright colored PSL t-shirt. What you might not know that PUMP is the organization responsible for running the Pittsburgh Sports League (PSL) – each season thousands – yes thousands of people participate in PSL sports leagues. The PSL offers sports for everyone with leagues from bowling to volleyball. Teams and individuals sign up for weekly competitions. Continue reading
