Do I need a sleeping bag for PodCamp Pittsburgh?

Nope, no sleeping bag needed. You don’t even need an Ipod for PodCamp.

PodCamp Pittsburgh is the 2nd PodCamp ever and people from all over will be coming here to Pittsburgh to learn about every thing pod. More than PodCasting, PodCamp will be talking about blogs, podcasting, internet video and more. I will be there talking about blogs and more blogs. And it is all FREE(thanks to some awesome sponsors)! This is a really cool unconference, which means it is a conference that is run by the people. The other great thing is that lots of the super stars of the PodCasting world are coming right here to Pittsburgh for the event.
What is PodCamp?

PodCamp is a FREE UN-CONFERENCE for people who create, enjoy or are interested in learning more about the following: blogs, vlogs, audio podcasts, web video, content networks and new media monetization. Show up, meet people, make connections!

Want to help? Volunteers and Sponsors are still needed. Drop me an email lpa (at) spreadshirt.com if you are interested.

Tasty food to go

The Union Project, that super amazing community center in the East End, that I often visit, has been upgrading their Cafe. I don’t know how they improve on perfection, but they did. Well actually I do know how they did it. By putting Olga Watkins in charge. Olga has been giving the menu at the Union Project Cafe a complete makeover. And it gets better – now they offer off site catering. Cool.

Stop by the Union Project and say hello to Olga, and let them take the headache out of ordering food for your next event.

East End Brewing Charity Open House

Just received this from our friend Scott at East End Brewing. An awesome event for a good cause. I am supposed to work on Nov. 4 but I may need to find an excuse to attend this.

East End Brewing Charity Open House: Nov 4th, 2-5pm – Just 20 bucks at the door gets you a pint glass for 3 hours of tastings, as many as 8 East End Beers, tasty eats from your favorite local tap spots… did I mention beer? We’ll be releasing The Ugly American for the very first time this day! And the best thing is, all proceeds go to PLEA – a very worthwhile local charity serving families of kids with developmental challenges.

Bring a friend, bring your thirst, and you can even bring a beer to share.

Sunday we have a big poetry reading at 2:30 for those of you that aren’t interested in Steeler’s Football. Be warned, I read the poems and some of them will make you cry.
