Bikes and Beer

May 18, 2008 Lindsay

Yes, That is a keg in that child carried.  Scott from East End Brewing is very serious about the Pedal Pale Ale.  For the third year in a row they will bike the beer to the tap spot and all bikers get a free beer from the first keg. If you’re just joining us, here’s how this works: You show up here at the brewery on Friday, May 23rd at 6:30pm (Yes, we’re still open for Growler Hours that day, but I’ll warn you that car parking might be tight with all the bicycles… nice!), get signed in with someone… Read the rest

East End Brewing Charity Open House

December 6, 2007 Lindsay

I give this event my highest endorsement. Scott from East End Brewing does an amazing job of putting together great events. I have visited the brewery in the past for an open house and it is a great place to visit. Many of Pittsburgh’s best beer drinkers tend to hang out here. Last year the charity open house raised over $3000 for PLEA. You can help them beat that number this year! Reasons to spend your Saturday at East End Brewing’s Charity Open House Beer drinking for a charity organization Food from the Harris Grill – I really do miss… Read the rest

Name that tank

December 15, 2006 Lindsay

In just 3 hours the auction will end.  Our friends at East End Brewing are about to purchase a brand new tank for brewing more beer.  (I have a major affinity for stainless steel tanks, as I used to work for an auctioneer that specialized in selling dairy processing equipment, tanks, cheese vats, pumps – you name it, i helped to sell them in auctions in exotic places like Labelle, Florida, Dodge, Nebraska, or Castroville (artichoke Capital of the world), Calilfornia.  In fact we had a few brewers show up some of the auctions to buy tanks for their breweries.)… Read the rest
