Steelers Championship Party Weekend at Stage AE

The Steelers are playing football on Sunday, and since we’re a drinking town with a football problem – we are celebrating! ALL WEEKEND!

Coors Light is treating Steelers fan to a weekend full of fun events starting tonight (Friday) and ending Sunday before the AFC Championship Game at Heinz Field at 6:30 PM. Details for the party can be found below:

Friday

  • 5:00 PM Doors open at Stage AE
  • 5:00 – 7:00 PM Live broadcast by WDVE (102.5 FM) and Sean McDowell
  • 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM Live music from Gene the Werewolf and Tres Lads
  • 10:00 PM Performance by The Clarks (Tickets on sale at Ticketmaster for $20)

Saturday

  • 5:00 PM Doors open at Stage AE
  • 5:00 – 7:00 PM Live broadcast by Kiss Morning Freak Show (96.1) w/ Mikey and Big Bob, Steelers alumni will sign autographs and talk Steelers football
  • 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM  KDKA-TV will air live special Championship Preview Show featuring Bob Bob Pompeani, Edmund Nelson, and former Steelers Punter Josh Miller
  • 9:00 PM – 10:00 PM  Coors Light Steelers Saturday Night on Pittsburgh’s CW with Bob Pompeani, Edmund Nelson, and Ellis Cannon will also live at Stage AE from 9-10 p.m.
  • 10:00 PM  Live comedy from WDVE Morning Show’s Jim Krenn and Bill Gardell (from from the No. 1 new CBS comedy series ‘Mike and Molly’)

Sunday

  • 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Official Steelers Tailgate Party at Stage AE featuring DJ Nugget

  • Participants can compete in three categories: Red Chili, Chili Verde and Salsa. Over $5,000 in cash prizes with a $2,000 prize to the 1st place Red Chili! Portion of event proceeds to benefit the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department!

  • One big bad party to benefit CHS – Community Human Services
  • Attend the event at Shadow Lounge and Ave or have a waffle at the waffle shop – all proceeds benefit CHS

Paddle at the Point – Pittsburgh to attempt to break the world record

  • Pittsburgh is the host city for World Environment Day – it is like the international version of Earth Day.
  • As part of the celebration Pittsburghers will try to break the world record for number of canoes and kayaks on the water at once
  • Saturday, June 5, 2010 – The rivers will be closed to boat traffic and filled with paddlers
  • The current record is 1,104 boats
  • Want to participate? – Register by Friday at 10 am
