A few weeks ago we wrote a post asking for suggestions for things to do in Pittsburgh this summer. I thought it might be fun to make a giant list of summer things to do and then blog my way through the list. But even more fun would be partnering with other bloggers and adventurous Pittsburghers who want to explore the area. So I was telling Brett (aka founder of Only In Pittsburgh) about this idea and instead of telling me your are crazy, good luck with that – he jumped on board and found Ideascale – which is a website where you can submit ideas and vote them up or down.
So there are roughly 90 days left between now and the official end of summer. We have set an ambitious goal of generating a list of 75 things – events, activities, places to visit – and completing that list by the end of summer.
- Submit ideas – old favorite or something you have always wanted to try – add them to the list. Are you a business or organization – can we come to visit you – add that to the list too. Try to be specific – for example visit Glen’s frozen custard is better than eat ice cream. Click here to submit ideas.
- Vote for ideas – we need your help to figure out which of these 75 we should tackle – click here to vote ideas up or down.
- Blog with us – are you a blogger – want to help us plan out one or more activities? We would love you to take the lead on an activity or an adventure day.
- Join us – what activities do you want to do? want to come along on an adventure day – where we will try to make multiple stops along the way. Stay tuned for more info on activities you can participate in.
Here is to a summer of Pittsburgh fun!
