South Side Works Exposed 2010 – Music and Arts Festival

Another popular event from 2009 is back again for an even bigger event in 2010.  This weekend the South Side Works shopping area will become a street festival with music, artist market (organized by the good folks at Imadeit Market) and kids area. 3 days of fun in the streets of the south side.

July 18, 12 – 5 pm

Shop Handmade at South Side Exposed this Weekend

Three Days of Crafts and Festivities in Pittsburgh!
Visit with 70 artisans and craftspeople during three days of arts, music & festivities as the I Made It! Market joins Pittsburgh’s SouthSide Works Exposed.

Artists Market will be open:
Friday, July 10: 5 – 10 pm
Saturday, July 11: 2 – 10 pm
Sunday, July 12: 2 – 6 pm

SouthSide Works Exposed is an amazing mix of a music festival, artist’s market, and sidewalk sales … but most of all a celebration of art in life. The setting for the event is in and around the Town Square of SouthSide Works.
Parking garage rates after 5 pm Friday and all weekend are only $3.00!

SOUPer Soup Saturday

For $5 and a can of food you can spend the afternoon sampling soup all over the South Side.  On Saturday, Feb. 16 pick up your bracelet at one of these 3 locations and spend the afternoon strolling the South Side and sampling soup.

“Stuff Your Stocking” on the South Side

The South Side Local Development Company will host its 2nd Annual “Stuff Your Stocking” holiday shopping event on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 12pm-
5pm.
Shoppers are invited to visit the many unique South Side shops and restaurants
featuring sales, giveaway items, and refreshments.

Shoppers will start at either Dave’s Music Mine (1210 East Carson Street) or De Stefino (2751 Sidney Street) where they will receive event shopping bags, shopping checklists, and a list of store specials. Then, let the shopping begin!
There is no fee to participate and no pre-registration necessary. Shoppers are asked to simply spend their day with us, and as the saying goes, “Eat, shop, and be merry!” Several South Side restaurants will offer event day specials, so lunch and dinner breaks are encouraged.
The South Side is one of Pittsburgh’s longest commercial districts. Participating shops stretch from 8th to 28th streets, so shoppers should dress comfortably. Although, the event starting points will be staffed until 4 p.m., many participating shops are open much later and shoppers are welcome to continue shopping!
Parking lots are located in the 1200 and 1900 blocks of East Carson Street, 18th & East Carson Street, 18th & Sidney Street, 21st & Sidney Street and at South Side Works accessed from 26th and 28th streets.
