  • 2008 Three Rivers Film Festival – Opens Nov. 7 – and runs until Nov. 22, 2008 – lots of great films coming to town. Which films do you reccomend?
  • new works « garbella – She is a member of the Pittsburgh Craft collective and she makes some great t-shirts and other screen printed items. IheartPGH was the first thing I screenprinted 5 years ago, long before I knew about blogs, so I have a love of anything screenprinted. I want a I bike PGH t-shirt!   • Apple Festival and Pie Contest – Saturday at the Union Project – its all apples at the Apple Festival. There is also an Apple Pie contest.

Film Fun: Children of the Corn

I have a thing for documentary films, I love them. Thus I am very interested in seeing this documentary, King Corn, at Pittsburgh Filmmakers this weekend. King Corn is the story of two friends who plant and grow an acre of corn in Iowa and try to follow their corn across the country to see where food comes from. I enjoyed (was terrified by) Fast Food Nation and I really really like corn, so I am looking forward to checking out this film. Continue reading
