Four Of The Best Beers On Earth

We thought this might be of interest to Pittsburgh beer lovers.  Here is another great event from the folks at the Harris Grill – not only do they bring you bacon every Tuesday night – but they also host free beer tastings.

Founders Brewing Company Beer Tasting

Thursday, March 25 @ Harris Grill

7:00 — 9:00 PM

Think of this as a mini beer dinner, less formal than a plated dinner and more at your own pace. And it’s free! We’re pairing special, complementary appetizers with samples of their stellar beer lineup, plus there will be a special “mystery draft” on the board.

We’ll have representatives of Founders on-hand to meet and greet, and participants will receive discounts on Founders beers for the duration of their stay. No reservations, no charge. Did we mention ‘free’? It’s free.

  • Free Waffles on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 – Free waffles – made with magic – networking and conversation – this Wednesday at the DeepLocal waffles. We stopped by for Waffles at the December waffle Wednesday – great group of people and good coffee.
  • Walking to New Orleans – Al Hoff, who is also the brains behind the blog – City of Sad Toys – has started a new project. She is virtually walking from Pittsburgh to New Orleans. Each day she logs how many miles she walks and plots that on a map of the route from Pittsburgh to New Orleans. Each post includes some history and background about the locations she is virtually walking through.
  • Coming this Spring – New Public Market opens in the Strip District – From PopCity Media "The Pittsburgh Public Market will have space for 42 vendors, ranging from fresh and prepared foods to arts and crafts to local, seasonal produce. So far, vendors will include: 21st Street Coffee and Tea, Elysian Fields Farm, Pittsburgh Candy Buffet, Tracy's Treats natural skincare products and more. Reservoir of Jazz @ the Highland Park Reservoir – Every Sunday in August

Another great FREE activity for your Sunday evenings. There is a great dedicated community group, I should say groups in Highland Park and the park and the surrounding areas just keep getting better. Enrico’s Tazzo D’Oro is just a few blocks from the park and rumor has it that Point Brugge will be opening a second location in Highland Park in the near future.  Sundays in August 5-7pm.
