Women Given their Due in the City of Champions

Come support Pittsburgh’s female athletes!

Women in Pittsburgh can do more for sports than root for the Steelers – just ask any of the 25 trailblazing honorees that will be celebrated by the Women and Girls Foundation (WGF) at their event on October 13, 2007 in honor of women in sports. The event, called Women in Sports: Leveling the Playing Field, will celebrate 25 Pittsburgh women for their contributions to the world of sports. Olympic gold medalist Mary Lou Retton will join in on the fun as the special guest speaker for the evening.

What exactly is I Made It!?
I Made It! is a regularly occurring, nomadic Market that provides the opportunity for young entrepreneurs to establish their businesses and to enjoy low barriers to bringing their wares to market in order to create successful businesses built on arts and crafts. The Market is an inclusive happening that welcomes artists or other “makers” in the Pittsburgh region to meet like-minded individuals, create new opportunities, and find a receptive environment in which to interact with and learn from each other.
