Fish FRYdays, Night of the Living Dead, Food Festivals & Oscar Party

Here are the links for all of the great stuff we discussed on WDVE this morning.  We are on live most Friday mornings at 6:45 am.

Happy FRYday!  If you are one of my grades school classmates you can’t say the word Friday with out thinking of  Mr. Hazlett, our history teacher, who would say every Friday – happy shake-n-bake day.

Fish fry season is here and someone has put together an AMAZING map of all the fish fries around Western PA.

Check out the Pittsburgh Lenten Fish Fry Map here and like the map on Facebook here.

Night of the Living Dead Fest

The original poster for Night of the Living Dead.Image via WikipediaOne of my favorite fun facts about living in Pittsburgh is that homewood cemetery is the location that Night of the Living Dead was filled.  Well, after learning about this event – I realized that I have been misinformed.  Regardless, Pittsburgh is still the birth place of this horror film and it is something to be celebrated, even if the scenes were filmed in Evans City. So head on up to Evans City to celebrate the 40th Anniversary Celebration of the film Night of the Living Dead with some of the original cast members too.
