We are working on moving IheartPGH to a new home on the interwebs.  Everything should look the same but just in case you are having trouble accessing the site you will know that we are making some changes behind the scenes.  Comments for this blog are closed – as soon as everything is moved over you will be able to leave comments.  So hold those thoughts and ideas for a few hours.

We are very excited to be moving over to Pair Networks – which is based right in Pittsburgh. Pair is an awesome company that hosts websites around the world.  Pair is one of those hidden Pittsburgh gems.  Not only are they experts at website hosting but they are working hard to be a good citizen of Pittsburgh and the environment. You can check out their environmental policy here.

I have started working on a new project with the folks at Pair so you will be hearing a lot more about Pair and the new project in the future.

Green Jobs. Good Jobs.

Its time for another PopCity Live.  I attended the first of the PopCity Live series and was really impressed.  Every month or so, the folks from PopCity Media put together a group of local of experts on a particular topic for a panel discussion and questions from the audience.  This is a great chance to learn about some really interesting people and things in Pittsburgh.  The events are FREE and are followed by a free reception with some tasty treats.  I can say this is one of the best events I attended last year.   Please rsvp ahead of time (just send an email to rsvp@nowall.com) so they can have a name tag ready for you when you arrive.

I think this panel on Green Jobs is going to be really interesting.  Pittsburgh has a great opportunity to be a green city, and there are already a lot of people working on that now.  I have had the opportunity to get to know Nathaniel Doyno in the past few years and I know he has been doing some really great things with Steel City Bio Fuels.  The other panelists look very interesting too.
