East Liberty Presbyterian Church, The Brass Roots, and organist Dr. Edward Alan Moore join forces for a sonic spectacular of music for brass and organ. The concert will open with the iconic sounds of Richard Strauss’ Also Sprach Zarathustra (featured in 2001: A Space Odyssey). Also featured will be arrangements of music from Star Trek, Star Wars, and Superman by Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra trombonist James Nova. Mr. Nova will be the guest conductor of the concert.

The Brass Roots is the brass ensemble in residence at East Liberty Presbyterian Church. They are heard during Sunday morning worship six times throughout the year and are featured on two concerts each season, including the most anticipated concert of the season, Christmas in East Liberty.

This performance is free and open to the public. A freewill offering will be received.
