The Art of Remembering
October 21, 2017 @ 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Don’t let a failure of memory be the end of a writing project.
Instead, turn it into the beginning of a creative breakthrough.
If you’re working on a memoir, then you know that your memory is the best source of material, your impetus for writing. But memory is also sometimes a trickster, telling inaccurate stories and at times failing completely.
Learn how to push beyond the gaps in your memory, investigate contradictions, and take your writing in electrifying new directions.
Tickets are on sale for an early registration price of $79.*
Workshop participants should bring a sample of a work-in-progress or a finished piece (up to 1,500 words) to share in small groups, as well as a few photographs (digital or print) that relate to the material they’re writing about.
Breakfast and coffee will be provided. The workshop schedule includes a mid-day break for lunch at area restaurants, but boxed lunches can be provided for a nominal fee (advanced notice required).
*Advance registration strongly recommended for this special Visting Writer Event. Space is limited for this exclusive day-long workshop.
