Chris Ivey’s groundbreaking East of Liberty documentary series makes its first appearance with Pittsburgh Filmmakers on November 18th at the Regent Square Theatre. The timely documentary series, produced over a decade about the gentrification of East Liberty, will be shown as a double feature, starting with the youth film East of Liberty: In Unlivable Times at 4pm and East of Liberty: Chapter One at 6 pm. East of Liberty: Chapter One is a hybrid film of the first two chapters in the series East of Liberty: A Story of Good Intentions and East of Liberty: The Fear of Us. Both films will be followed by a community discussion with stakeholders, business owners and displaced residents from East Liberty and Homewood. Arrive early.
