HAP MOVIE NIGHT & PUPPY MILL CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF:
The “Protection from Puppy Mill Breeders for Allegheny County” campaign will officially begin September 12 at the HOLLYWOOD THEATER in Dormont.

PA is now tied for 2nd place on the HSUS ‘Horrible Hundred’ list with the highest number of puppy mills in the country. Expanding our ordinance beyond Pittsburgh throughout Allegheny County will be a serious blow to mill breeders.

We will have a brief meeting from 6:30-7:00PM followed by a showing of “Dog by Dog”. General Admission tickets are $8, HAP members are $6. It’s a perfect place to introduce a new friend to HAP and grow our animal protection community. Much of the movie was filmed in PA and showcases our puppy mill dilemma. This documentary is educational and not uncomfortable to watch.

Allegheny County Council members have asked us to gather support so that when they ask for our help, we will be ready with strength in numbers.
