This Weekend, Party Like its 1984

Didn’t make it out to the Penn Brewery for their 80’s birthday celebration? Looking for more ways to celebrate the 80’s? You are in lucky. Two words – Purple Rain, Purple Rain!

Yes, this weekend you can bask in the 80s with a celebration of Prince (or if you prefer the artist formerly know as Prince).  The Hollywood Theater in Dormont is hosting a Purple Rain Party.  Dress as your favorite rock star and head over to the theater for music, prizes and Purple Rain on the big screen.

Event: Hurricane Lounge – History of Jazz and the Hill District

For your listening pleasure – Live Music in Pittsburgh this Weekend

Just when we thought it was going to be kind of a quiet weekend in town – there are a ton of great concerts from national and local artists. And something at every price point – from FREE to not so free.

Friday is the Hometown Music Fest at Southpark – with a stellar line up of local performers.  We are happy to learn about Jimbo and the Soupbones who will be performing at Ribs on the River on Saturday.  Thanks to the reader that posted about these guys.
