Nightcrawler

It’s time for another Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District! Friday night – everything stays open late. Art, food, drinks and lots of people.

Check out the Gallery Crawl Map here.

When you are good and cold crawl over to Olive or Twist for Nightcrawler. Other Pittsburgh websites agree (Jason and Sarah) this is a darn good idea – Nightcrawler is a mega gallery crawl after party. $5 gets you access to 2 floors of fun, 10 DJs including the amazing Pittsburgh Rapper, Kellee Maize.

Union Project Martin Luther King Junior Day Extravaganza

Celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King at the Union Projects annual Martin Luther King Junior Day event.  I have been told that this is one of the best events of the year.  Start the evening off with a free community dinner beginning at 6pm.  Stay for performances and reading of Dr. King’s works by local students.  All are welcome to attend.

Brad Yoder @ Franktuary

Brad Yoder is a Pittsburgh based rock star. Brad performs all over the country, but most often here in Pittsburgh. True story – my dad happened to be in Colorado and ran into Brad performing. I am familiar with Brad’s music as my sister and her friends are huge fans and almost every mix cd in the car has some Brad Yoder tracks.
Brad was recently voted best solo artist by Pittsburgh City Paper readers.

Tomorrow, Friday, January 4th Brad will be performing at Franktuary from noon to 1:30pm. Another great reason to leave your office, stop eating holiday left overs (christmas cookies don’t really count as lunch anyways) and head over to see the good folks at Franktuary.

Franktuary 325 Oliver Ave, Downtown Pittsburgh.

Check out Brad Yoder’s awesome website – www.BradYoder.com – awesome website with great design by Pittsburgh artist Mike Budai.

WhereTheMusicMatters.com

WYEP has a new website – WYEP.org. It is one good looking new website. I hope that someday IheartPGH looks half as good as this!
Another great thing is that they have a little tag line at the bottom – The first green station in the nation. Awesome. Make sure you check out the history page – WYEP is a great independent radio station with a great story. To go from a basement in Oakland to the first green station in the nation is great. Congrats to WYEP on a great new website.
