The International Cookie Festival is a great way to get to know your nieghbors here in Larryville. Everybody is open, lots of holiday cheer! So stop by, munch a cookie, and say hello!

Artist Talk with Kate Temple, Jason Szalla and James Pustorino

Three of the srtists currently exhibiting at Digging Pitt Gallery in the Pittsburgh Alumni show will be in town on November 4 at 5pm for an artists’ talk.

Kate Temple is Digging Pitt’s solo for the exhibit. Truly beautiful work. Jason Szalla will be talking about (ideas and observations and James Pustorino will be talking about the Universechild series.

Open Call to Crafters

Digging Pitt Gallery – Side I and Digging Pitt Too will house Bright and Shiny Holiday this year. We wanted to give you an early heads-up so that you have time to prepare. Above is a general timeline for the exhibit.

All mediums are welcome. Please be sure that your work is ready to hang, display or install. Work may be two- or three-dimensional. No limit to the number of pieces submitted, emphasis on cash-and-carry work.

Creeps I Know

It’s open season on creeps at Digging Pitt Too. Your stories are about to be told. Digging Pitt Too invites you to share a story about the most awful-lest creep you know, in time for the Halloween holiday. Who knows the creepiest boss? Who went out with the creepiest blind date? What has absolutely given you the willies?

Bring your stories to Digging Pitt Too on October 28 at 5pm and we’ll see who has the most harrowing, hair-raising, skin-crawling encounter of the creepiest kind.

Lawrenceville Artists’ Studio Tour

All these really cool artists in Larryville will be opening their studio doors to all on October 7 & 8. And Digging Pitt Too, on 45th and Plummer Streets is going to have an artists talk-back with Jean McClung, Tom Sarver and David Gonzalez. Larryville is going to be shakin’!
The Second Annual Lawrenceville Artists’ Studio Tour

Join this free, self-guided tour of 22 Lawrenceville artists’ studios on Saturday, October 7 and Sunday, October 8 from Noon to 5 p.m. Participating artists are independent local artists who work in a range of different media, including sculpture, painting, candlemaking, weaving, metalsmithing, photography, soapmaking, t-shirt and handbag design, custom furniture making, stained glass, and textile and jewelry design.

Maps will be available at Lawrenceville coffee shops the days of this event
