Pittsburgh Music Ecosystem Project Town Hall Meeting

The Pittsburgh Music Ecosystem Project announces a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, February 27th at 6:30 pm at the Kelly Strayhorn Theatre in East Liberty. Music industry professionals are invited to attend this public meeting, which will include a panel of area music professionals in a conversation focused on the Pittsburgh music community’s current challenges and opportunities.
Admission is free, first come first served, seating capacity is 350.
The Town Hall meeting will be a panel discussion moderated by Abby Goldstein, General Manager of 91.3 WYEP and the panel includes a diverse mix of Pittsburgh area musicians and industry leaders.

• Charles ‘Poogie’ Bell – Grammy winning jazz musician, producer and composer.
• Liz Berlin – Musician, Rusted Root; Co-Owner, Mr. Smalls Theatre; Director, Creative.Life.Support; Adjunct Professor, CMU/Heinz Masters of Entertainment Industry Management Program
• Emily Plazek – CEO, MIC: Music Industry Connected
• Dave Wheeler – Singer/Songwriter/Guitarist, Outsideinside and Carousel
In order to gather as much feedback as possible, the Town Hall will also incorporate sli.do, a new event technology that makes audience interaction possible through live polling and Q&A’s. Attendees with access to a smart phone are encouraged to participate in the Town Hall using this easy, web-based technology.
There will also be an important announcement at the end of the Town Hall concerning Pittsburgh Music Ecosystem Project’s next steps and community participation.
