Shake, Shahr, & Snow Fresh Can Release
November 9, 2017 @ 4:00 PM - November 11, 2017 @ 10:00 PM
It’s a big month for can releases, so we’re spacing it out over the weekend and releasing these beers simultaneously at both locations. These beers taste best FRESH and what’s fresher than beer canned just a day or two ago?
Thursday, November 9
Pennsylvania Handshake Milkshake IPA ($20/4-pack)
We had a great time last month, making what is arguably the most ridiculous beer style in the hazy-hoppy category with our GOOD FRIENDS from Pizza Boy Brewing Co.: a “Milkshake IPA”. And by ridiculous, of course I mean ridiculously delicious. With some 250lbs of milk sugar, 40lbs of nectarines, 165 lbs of apricots, 210 lbs of peaches, and over 1,200lbs of brewers in the mix – along with an absurd amount of cold-side addition Citra, Amarillo, and Azacca hops, it’s well worth driving halfway across the state for. For maximum freshness, no Crowlers/Growlers of this beer until the cans are all gone. Available at BOTH our locations starting at 4pm on Thursday the 9th. Plus since we brewed with “Pizza Boy,” Aiello’s Pizza will be at the Brewpub in Larimer with slices for sale. Pizza + beer, it’s hard to beat that combo.
Also, Pizza Boy dropped off some of their recent bottle and can releases that you won’t find any place else around town: Hop Tart, American Wild Ale in 16 oz. cans, Sunny Side Up Oatmeal Imperial Stout with Coffee in 16 oz. cans, Stainless Sour Series Cherry Sour Ale in 375 ml bottle, Stainless Sour Series Pineapple Sour Ale in 375 ml bottle. These Pizza Boy brews will be available this same day, at the Brewpub only.
Friday, November 10
Chance A’ Shahrs ($18/4-pack)
Speaking of haze…the inevitable follow-up to our hazy hoppy Partly Clahdy NE IPA is finally ready to go into cans. Chance A’ Shahrs is a hazy Pale Ale brewed with Australian and New Zealand hop varieties (Galaxy, Motueka, and Rakau). Please note: the key word here is SHAHRS, or what yinz might call “rain” if you’re not from around here. Not to be confused with “Sahrs.” Like the Handshake, for maximum freshness, no Crowlers/Growlers of this beer until the cans are all gone. Available at the Taproom in the Strip starting at 11am, the Brewpub in Larimer at 4pm. And La Palapa will be at the Brewpub in Larimer with tacos & quesdadillas from 5pm til they run out.
Saturday, November 11
Snow Melt Winter Ale ($15/4-pack)
You’ve asked and asked if we could put Snow Melt into cans. Or maybe that was just Scott. Anyway, it’s in cans! A long standing staff favorite, Snow Melt is a rich 7% mahogany-hued Winter ale, with a roasty flavor and a pine-like finish that can only come from Simcoe and Nugget hops. Best used for frost removal, holiday toasting, and guaranteed to clear the fog off your glasses. Available at the Taproom in the Strip starting at 10am, the Brewpub in Larimer at 12pm. And Tango Food Truck is at the Brewpub starting at noom.
