So excited to host Rosie Newton and Stephanie Jenkins, who perform as The Pearly Snaps (www.thepearlysnaps.com), for a Yellow Couch House Show! This is going to be a great night of songs and harmonies. Here’s some more info about the band:

Steph “Pearly” Jenkins and Rosie “Snap” Newton have been playing fiddle tunes and singing country songs together for over a decade. They moved to Ithaca for college in 2006, where they immersed themselves in the old-time music scene and deepended their knowledge of the Appalachian tradition. Steph’s rhythmic banjo and Rosie’s driving fiddle together create a full and energetic sound, flowing freely between intimate slow singing ballads and mournful country duets. Stephanie and Rosie have branced out in their musical lives, but always enjoy coming back to the duo to play their old favorities and continue to develop their sound. They are in the midst of creating a new CD and look forward to the release of this project and sharing their new music in the months to come.
