Paddle at the Point – Pittsburgh to attempt to break the world record

  • Pittsburgh is the host city for World Environment Day – it is like the international version of Earth Day.
  • As part of the celebration Pittsburghers will try to break the world record for number of canoes and kayaks on the water at once
  • Saturday, June 5, 2010 – The rivers will be closed to boat traffic and filled with paddlers
  • The current record is 1,104 boats
  • Want to participate? – Register by Friday at 10 am

  • Some of Pittsburgh’s favorite Mom bloggers are teaming up with the folks at Hewbrew National for a free picnic

ALS Awareness Night at Washington Wild Things

  • Saturday, June 5 is ALS awareness night at Consol Energy Park
  • Watch the Wild Things take on the River City Rascals, a portion of the ticket sales from the evening will benefit the Western PA Chapter of the ALS Association
