The City of Pittsburgh will be providing tree seedlings free of charge to City residents to plant in their yards. The week will kick-off with a give-away hosted by Mayor Ravenstahl at the City-County Building on October 19th. Tree seedlings will also be handed out at the various Citiparks Farmers’ Markets this week. The trees to be given away are smaller species. All events are on a “first come, first served” basis and will last until all of the trees have been distributed.
