Young Preservationists Top 10 Preservation Opportunities for 2015 Party
October 27, 2015 @ 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
$25For more than a decade, the Young Preservationists Association of Pittsburgh has highlighted the region’s Top Preservation Opportunities worthy of saving for future generations. Over the years, many historic preservation successes have been rehabilitated or restored including the Dormont Pool, Connellsville Aaron’s Building, and the Cork Factory in the Strip District, among others. It’s now time to reveal the list of 2015 Top Ten Preservation Opportunities.
This year’s Top Ten includes a mix of sites with ties to the Whiskey Rebellion, possibly the City’s most visited street and view, corner gateway buildings, and even a stately castle. The full list of sites will be announced on Tuesday October 27th at a former Top Ten site, The Union Project in East Liberty from 6:00-9:00PM. Preservationists and community members of all ages from across the region are encouraged to partake in the 1960s themed soiree with pill box hats, skinny ties, or surf attire while the Hi Frequencies rock the evening away. Attendees can also check out goodies available from local artisans up for ticket auction.
