First there was the  illustration ale a partnership between East End Brewing and the Toonseum.  Then Barebones Productions brought Killer Joe to the stage with Joe Grushekcy accompaniment.  Public Record is a collaboration between Pittsburgh writer and artist Justin Hopper, tech company DeepLocal and publishers Encyclopedia Destructia to bring some of the mystery and history of Pittsburgh to life on the streets of downtown Pittsburgh.… Read the rest

Killer Joe Grushecky

This seems to be the summer of unique Pittsburgh collaborations.  Barebones Productions is a Pittsburgh theater company that has been performing since 2003.  Barebones is back this summer and has partnered with another Pittsburgh performer – Joe Grushecky – for the production Killer Joe. Killer Joe is a play by playwrite Tracey Letts about a family that hires a hitman to kill the matriarch for insurance money.
