Black History Exhibit
February 19, 2018 @ 10:00 AM
In celebration of Black History Month, the Historical Society will feature an exhibit honoring the role of Manchester’s African American residents who served in the State’s African American regiment, the 29th Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry. Learn about the lives of 6 soldiers from enlistment, battles they fought, and after the war. The exhibit will run from February 19 to March 23, Monday through Friday from 10am to 3pm, and Saturdays/Sundays by appointment. Join us in recognizing the contributions of this historic regiment. Also what part did Manchester play in the underground Railroad?
