Jerry's RecordsA link to this new video series was shared on the Pittsburgh reddit page over the weekend.  This short, 7 minute video, offers a look at Jerry’s Records and Galaxie Electronics – both are located at 2136 Murray Avenue in Sq. Preview Screening of Pgh Made Short Films and Videos – Mon. November 25

The Sprout Fund is a Pittsburgh non-profit that has been giving out grants to project big and small that make this city a better place to live.  This year the Sprout Fund has put together a special round of grants for film and video projects. On Monday, November 25, the public is invited to watch the trailers and vote for their favorites. Afterwards you will have a chance to vote for your favorites.  Voting will be factored into the decision of which projects receive funding from the Sprout Fund.  This event is open to the public and free to attend.… Read the rest

Calling All Pittsburgh Filmmakers to Celebrate the Big 2-5-0

Pittsburgh Neighborhood Narratives will be a series of short fictional narrative films by local filmmakers, each portraying the experience of one of the diverse neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. Local filmmakers Andrew Halasz and Kristen Lauth Shaeffer are currently looking for filmmakers to participate in the project, first by submitting a treatment by January 1, 2008. Filmmakers whose stories speak most strongly to the personality of their community will then be engaged to write a script and begin production for their short film.
