Image via Wikipedia Today feels like the official start of the holiday shopping season.  Now that thanksgiving is behind us – full speed ahead to Christmas.  Well try not to go too fast into the holidays.  Slow down just a little bit, enjoy the season and support some Pittsburgh businesses.  Here are some ways to save on some great holiday gifts and shop some Pittsburgh businesses and organizations while you shop and decorate. 1950's Finest Fashion Salon

This weekend, Gretchen Harnick, chair of the Art Institute‘s fashion program, will team with Pittsburgh-based e-tailer Modcloth to present “1950s Finest Fashion Salon,” a fundraiser to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. The event, to be held at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside, will feature clothes from 15 lines carried on Modcloth.com. Modcloth donated all the clothes for the event and will also donate 10% of its sales on Friday, July 25th to the CFF.
