“Ian Watches” PGH Movie of the Week: Adventureland

This is the inaugural post of what will hopefully become a weekly event. Basically I watch movies based or filmed in and around the Pittsburgh area, give a quick spiel about the movie, and display all of the Pittsburgh locations shown in the movie. That way, if you so please, you can visit said locations and say, “Hey, Batman was on this sidewalk!” If that’s the kind of thing you’re into. Its All Greek this Week

So, in Pittsburgh we have two layers of community – the neighborhoods and the ethnicity – and sometimes we have ethnic neighborhoods.  We love greek food festivals – we love any food festivals but especially Greek food festivals.  A few years ago I even met a lovely couple who met while volunteering at their churches Greek food festival. Meet the Sky Rocket and Be One of The First to Ride the New Coaster at Kennywood

We love to see Pittsburgh people working together – Kennywood has partnered with the Greater Pittsburgh Foodbank to launch their new roller coaster – the Sky Rocket. They are auctioning off the first 200 seats to ride on the new coaster – all of the money from the auction benefits the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Bidding starts at $50.
