Sat 11/7: Volunteers Needed to Help Build Playground in Brighton Heights

A quick post of a call for volunteers to help build a Kaboom playground in Brighton Heights this Saturday. Join the Brighton Heights Citizens Federation to build a playground on the campus of the Pittsburgh Morrow Middle School. They need at least 200 volunteers to make this a success! Donate a few hours of your Saturday to help make this playground happen. you’re safe in “the vault”

the vault is an awesome bank turned coffee shop in brighton heights. it’s a cleanly decorated space with tall ceilings and friendly people. the coffees and teas are wonderful [they make their chai from scratch] and the staff is knowledgable about the product. the food is good too- try the feta dip…mmm. just off of ohio river boulevard and route 65, it’s easy to get to. however, i recommend you go the long way and see some more of the northside. the vault is located at 3619 California Avenue. hours are from 7am to 8pm, mon. through sat.… Read the rest
