  • Serious about Sewage – ALCOSAN Open House

This may be one of the most unique events I have stubled across in the past 3 years. ALCOSAN is hosting a day long open house on September 20, 2008.

ALCOSAN is the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority

They have tons of exhibts planned for the open house, here are a few of the ones I found most interesting…

    • an hour long tour of the sewage treatmant plant
    • a look at what micro organisms exist in sewage
    • Photos with the ALCOSAN mascot – Frankie the Fish
    • Virtual Sewer
