To all who found us through today’s Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: We at I heart PGH are happy that we can provide Pittsburghers with important information about events such as bacon night. This is just the tip of the iceburgh. For example, if bacon bracelets or even chocolate-covered bacon would make it to Pittsburgh, we’d be there. With reporter’s notebooks and digital cameras and a smile on our naseous faces. Why? Because we always go the extra mile to heart PGH. The bacon, the dogz, the beer, the cut. Pittsburgh looses points for things like city innovation and a lack of a future plan – so there is still work to do. A big round of applause for those people supporting farmers markets. The Utne reader reports that Pittbsurgh has 7 farmers markets and… Read the rest

September 19, 2005 Lindsay

Pittsburgh boomerangsHere is an article from today’s Post-Gazette about 3 residents that left and came back to living in Pittsburgh. Joy to the ‘Burgh: Three who boomeranged back inject energy into their neighborhoods Monday, September 19, 2005 By Diana Nelson Jones, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Every city neighborhood has its advocates. They go to the meetings. Neighbors ask them what’s going on. They got the new signs, the new lights and gathered the litter brigades. From their ideas come neighborhood events, neighborhood pride and, of course, change. Three people from three neighborhoods have joined those ranks as boomerangs — area natives who left… Read the rest
