The goodie truck was parked on walnut street today – they are a mobile candy shop that sells many types of treats from chocolate covered straberries, gummy bears and one of my favorite snacks – soft pretzels. The goodie truck opened on October by two women who met working at a local candy shop. The chocolate covered strawberries have been a big seller today. The goodie truck can often be found downtown. Serious Competition at the Barista Competition, originally uploaded by IheartPGH. Since there is bo football this sunday I thought I would check out a different type of competition. As I mentioned last week, Pittsburgh is hosting the the Mid-atlantic and Northeast Regional Barista competition at the Cranberry Marriot. The best baristas from 11 different states are here competing for a chance to go to the national competition. Each barista has 15 minutes to prepare espresso, cappicino and a signature drink for 4 judges.
