Klahr, Mennies, Russell: Poetry Reading at White Whale Bookstore
December 2, 2017 @ 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Pittsburgh, come join us for a night of poetry and joy at the start of December! Featuring readers Sophie Klahr, Lauren Russell, and Rachel Mennies. Poets will have their books available for sale (and nobody’s ever lamented receiving a book of poetry for the holidays, so…).
BIOS:
Sophie Klahr is the author of Meet Me Here At Dawn (YesYes Books). Her poetry appears in The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, AGNI, and other publications. A Pittsburgh native, she now lives sometimes in California and sometimes in Nebraska.
Rachel Mennies is the author of The Glad Hand of God Points Backwards, the 2014 winner of the Walt McDonald First-Book Prize in Poetry and finalist for a National Jewish Book Award, and the chapbook No Silence in the Fields. Mennies took over for Robert Fink in 2016 as the series editor of the Walt McDonald First-Book Prize in Poetry at Texas Tech University Press. She teaches writing at Carnegie Mellon University and is a member of AGNI’s editorial staff.
