In October, 1997, The Flaming Lips released an experimental album called Zaireeka. The 4-disc release was intended to be played simultaneously on 4 separate sound systems. Join Generation Listen and 91.3 WYEP’s Joey Spehar for a 20th anniversary listening party for Zaireeka. We’ll set up our large performance space with 4 stereos + put you in the middle of this incredible experience. Plus we will have drinks, snacks, and Joey will lead a brief discussion on the history of the album.

Since it’s so close to Halloween, we’ve decided to make it a costume party! Wear your Halloween costume and you could win tickets to WYEP’s Holiday Hootenanny. Costumes strongly encouraged. You know the Flaming Lips would approve. Please note that no weapons (fake or otherwise), are allowed.
