WDVE

While it is still technically spring, Memorial Day weekend feels like the official start to summer.   I’ll be honest – sometimes it is hard to find events for these 3 day weekends – but that is not the case for this one! This weekend there are a bunch of great free and affordable events to get you outdoors and enjoy this start to summer.  Here are our picks for this weekend that we shared on WDVE (if you are an early riser you can here me most Friday mornings talking about all things Pittsburgh – 6:45 am – 1025. Thanks Will! Is there anything else you would like to see us write about?

Nice post, Lindsay! Wish I was there this weekend. I also used to set my alarm radio station to 102.5 FM, albeit at 7:30am. So I couldn’t get to hear the interesting things you had to say about Pittsburgh 🙁

Anyways, here’s my two cents: you can get to the Kayafest location (20th street) via bus also if you don’t have a car (like me). You can take the 88 from Shadyside OR take 64, followed by 87.

Thanks!  Love that you have added the bus routes.  Kayafest was crowded and then rain.  But still nice to be outside.  How was your memorial day weekend? by the way – I am working on a post about Taco Trucks – any suggestions from your neck of the woods?

Hi, nice to hear back from you! Memorial Day was more or less relaxing. I had my cousin and her family visit us over. They also live nearby. I am not too sure about Taco Trucks (though I have heard you can find them more in downtown).
