Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera

  • A film and theatrical production created by 2 Pittsburgh residents
  • October 15 – October 23 @ The Grey Box Theater in Lawrenceville
PIX – Pittsburgh Indy Comic Expo
  • Saturday and Sunday, October 16+17, 2010
  • Guardian Self Storage Building in the Strip District – Top floor is a big event space
  • Independent comics from Pittsburgh and around the world
  • Free Admission
Brewing Up a Cure
  • TRUB – Three Rivers Underground Brewers – hosts the 4th annual Brewing Up a Cure
  • Beerfestival of homebrewed beers
  • Saturday, October 16, 2010 @ PAA
  • last year this event raised over 36,000 for Cystic Fibrosis
Haunted Tour of Oakland
  • Sunday October 17 and 24 @ 6pm – Meet at the steps of Hillman Library
  • Haunted Pittsburgh will lead a walking tour of Oakland

Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland Challenge

  • Pittsburgh Cares is an organization that matches groups who need volunteers with people who want to volunteer
  • They have launched a challenge to see which city can get the most volunteer hours – Pittsburgh or Cleveland!
