Links Worth a Look – August 24th

August 24, 2009 Lindsay

Here are some links/articles/blog posts that are worth a look:

  • Ambiance Boutique to Open a 3rd Location in Lawrenceville in September 2009 – Ambiance Boutique is a project of the non profit Bethlhem Haven – they have two consignment shops located in Regent Square and Oakmont all of the proceeds from Ambiance Boutique benefit Bethlehem Haven. A third location will be opening on Butler Street in Lawrenceville in September 2009. They have a great selection on women’s clothing (the Oakmont location also carries home decor items) and are very helpful when it comes to taking consignments too. Check out the photo of the new shop and follow Ambiance on twitter – www.twitter.com/ambiancepgh
  • Sneak Peak at the new Trail along Penn Ave in East Liberty – BikePGH has got a great photo of the new bike trail along Penn Ave – near the intersection of Penn and Fifth Ave.
  • Allegheny Riverfront Vision Activities : Venture Outdoors – Great to hear about developing the riverfront from Highland Park Bridge to the Convention Center – always happy to hear about making it easier to get people to the rivers. Check out this post from the Venture Outdoors blog about how you can help – they have organized some free hikes and kayak trips.”The Allegheny Riverfront Vision Plan is part of a development project lead by Perkins Eastman that is aimed at redeveloping the stretch of land along the Allegheny River from the Highland Park Bridge to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Venture Outdoors is working with the Allegheny Riverfront Vision to host several activities aimed at getting people dreaming and planning about the future of this area.
Activities are free and open to the public, but space is limited so please RSVP”
