1950's Finest Fashion Salon

July 16, 2009 Jen

This weekend, Gretchen Harnick, chair of the Art Institute‘s fashion program, will team with Pittsburgh-based e-tailer Modcloth to present “1950s Finest Fashion Salon,” a fundraiser to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

The event, to be held at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside, will feature clothes from 15 lines carried on Modcloth.com. Modcloth donated all the clothes for the event and will also donate 10% of its sales on Friday, July 25th to the CFF.

Fashion lovers will enjoy a champagne lunch and a chance to get up close and personal with the indie designs featured in the show.

The show is Saturday, July 18th. It begins at 11am and runs until about 2pm. Afternoon cocktail attire is appropriate.

Tickets are $30 and are available through the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
