3rd Annual Braddock Chili Cook Off

 

  • Saturday March 7, 1-5pm
  • Braddock Elks Club, 424 Library Street, Braddock, Across from the Carnegie Library in Braddock
  • Benefits the Braddock Carnegie Arts Program

Play It Forward

  • Saturday, March 7 Noon-4pm
  • Bring any unwanted musical instruments to Construction Junction in Point Breeze
  • Instruments will be donated to two programs here in Pittsburgh that work to get more kids interested in music.

South Side Leprechaun Leap

  • St. Patrick’s Day Themed Bar Crawl

Trips for Kids Fundraiser at OTB Cafe

  • Trips for Kids is a non profit organization dedicated to getting more kids on mountain bikes
  • This is the launch party for the Pittsburgh Chapter of Trips for Kids
  • Saturday, March 7, 7-9pm at OTB Cafe – a new bicycle themed bar on Carson Street
  • $15 at the door

Unblurred First Fridays on Penn Avenue

  • Friday, March 6, 2009, 6pm and the first Friday of every month the galleries & businesses stay open late

  • Check out the glass blowing at the Pittsburgh Glass Center

Citizen Journalism Training Project

  • The Public Square Project is a new program in Pittsburgh focus in getting more people to participate in journalism
  • Every Thursday in March at the Union Project from 6-8pm
  • Learn about how to be a citizen journalist and tell stories about your neighborhood
  • All works shops are FREE!
