May 3 – A Big Opening Day in Pittsburgh

Saturday, May 3rd is a big opening day all around town:

  • Pittsburgh Riverhounds home opener at Chartiers Valley Stadium, 7:05pm
  • Kennywood opens for 2008 – note it is not open on Sunday May 4, 2008 (Thanks to The Falcon and The Dove for the reminder)
  • Carnegie International opens at the Carnegie Museum of Art – world famous art exhibition since 1896.
  • Pittsburgh Wine Festival kicks off a week of wine with an event at the Carton
