Big Ben in Motorcycle Accident

June 12, 2006 patcoll

Ben Roethlisberger was in a motorcycle accident outside the Armstrong Tunnel on Second Avenue at 11:30 this morning. Apparently he flipped over the handlebars and was bleeding from the head. The Steelers have confirmed this, as is seen on tons of local news outlets right now.

It’s a shame that such a new high-profile athlete would brush off advice from friends and colleagues telling him not to ride a motorcycle. Nonetheless, we should all hope for a quick and speedy recovery.

Doubtful this will be quick. The amount of reconstructive surgery required was huge. Dare I say it, but I question whether or not he'll be able to play this year. You rarely return from head traumas – particularly those where your skull is wired back together – the same as before.

Well, I think you were wrong with that comment. Big Ben DID play against the cardinals. He looked just as good as he did in the Super Bowl. He WILL take us back to the Super Bowl again this season. The Steelers will be the first team to win 6 Super Bowls. Mark My Words!!!!
