BUY A GOOD FRIEND A GOOD BEER

September 16, 2005 Lindsay

is the tag line for the East End Brewing Company (http://eastendbrewing.com/) – you may have seen their beers at some local drinking establishments around Pittsburgh. I was a fan of the Big Hop before I knew that it was made by a brewer that hearts PGH
Currently they have 3 year-round beers:
Big Hop IPA
Black Strap Stout
East End Witte

The East End Brewing Company is located in an tiny unassuming warehouse in Homewood next to the busway. Visit the website http://eastendbrewing.com/ for updates on Brewery Open Houses. Scott Smith, the brewmaster, is a super nice guy and has opened the place up on occasion for beer lovers to come in for a visit

There are 2 other great reasons to visit http://eastendbrewing.com/ and drink their beer.
1. Sustainability – they are committed to being an enviromentally sustainable business!!

2. Pouring List
East End Brewing Co. beers can be found at lots of great little neighborhood bars around Pittsburgh.
check out the pouring list http://eastendbrewing.com/pouring.htm and see if there is a bar in your neighborhood or a new neighborhood to visit.

Hi, seeing this post about the East End Brewing Co reminded me that you can also get some of their beers at the 'Sharp Edge' in Friendship. I saw you had no posting for Friendship, and that place is surely worth a mention in a future post 🙂
