Two things not to miss in Lawrenceville this weekend: Super S****s: Art from the Staff of the Andy Warhol Museum opens tomorrow (Friday, January 13 from 6-9pm) at WildCard.  Andy Warhol’s Superstars were an elite clique of personalities that gained notoriety and fame through their association with the infamous artist. They were heavily featured in Warhol’s early works and their lives were immersed in the New York City art scene. Yinz Luv ‘Da Buccos, I Heart Jim Shearer

Jim Shearer, the mastermind behind the web-series “Yinz Luv ‘Da Guins” and “Yinz Luv ‘Da Stillers,” is answering a question he’s been asked ever since he started his homemade, YouTube sports shows three years ago: Do yinz luv ‘da Buccos? The answer is “yes.” In his Opening Day: Yinz Luv ‘Da Buccos exhibit on display at Wildcard through the month of April, Shearer pays homage to the Pittsburgh Pirates of his youth (back when it was somewhat customary to end a season with more wins than losses) in a series of portraits of beloved players. Image via CrunchBase Etsy is an online marketplace where you can buy handmade and vintage items from over 2 million different vendors.  Last week I was browsing the Etsy blog and was inspired by their current contest – to enter you just have to create a treasury (which is Etsy speak for  a collection of things on Etsy).  So I did a search for Pittsburgh and put together this collection of 16 items of Pittsburgh.  Some are handmade – some are vintage – all are very Pittsburgh ( I decided to save all things Steelers for a future treasury).… Read the rest
