Bikes Before Christmas

  • Kraynick’s Bikes and Pittsburgh Police are collecting used bikes for kids.
  • Mr. Kraynick and volunteers will fix up the bikes
  • Last year 230 bikes were donated to area kids
  • Drop off bikes at Kraynick’s on Penn Ave in Garfield or any Pittsburgh police station

Sprout Fund Harvest Festival and Penn Avenue First Fridays

  • Stop by the Spround Fund offices for food, drink and music
  • Learn about some of the great projects the Sprout Fund supports
  • Friday from 5:30-9:30pm

Handmade Arcade

  • Huge handmade craft sale - art, t-shirts, gifts and more
  • Crafters from all over the country
  • Saturday and Sunday at Hunt Armory in Shadyside

  • Mulaney’s has been matching people here in Pittsburgh for 15 years.
  • Matchmakers will be on hand to match you to someone who could be your future husband

Millvale’s Creepy Harvest Party

  • Millvale’s riverfront park
  • Saturday, October 25, 2008 5-7pm
  • $3/kid includes a hot dog
  •  pumpkins, apple cider, scary stories and more

Zombie Walk

  • Sunday October, 26, 2008 9am at Monroeville Mall
  • Last year they set the Guinness World Record for the largest Zombie Walk, other zombie walks will be occurring around the world in celebration of Zombie Day
  • 2008 is also the 40th anniversary of Night of The Living Dead
  • Other activities are scheduled this weekend to celebrate World Zombie Day.
