The company this week discussed the success of their cookie in the Pittsburgh Business Journal. An interesting fact from the article is how company had their largest increase in cookies sales as the Steelers won the 2006 Super Bowl, selling more than 350,000 black and gold smiley cookies

Yesterday, I was watching this interview on KDKD where I learned that most people gain 7 pounds between Thanksgiving and New Years. I want to mention that this interview was about a new product, that I think is pretty cool, called GoWearFIT, which is from a Pittsburgh company, BodyMedia.
One way to burn off some of those extra holiday calories would be to attend the December Viper’s Soul Club. Viper’s Soul Club is the monthly dance party with soul. DJ’s Juddy n’ Gordy will be spinning 1960s R&B, Motown, and Northern Soul music.

- L.L.Bean Funds Venture Outdoors Inclusivity Initiative : Venture Outdoors - L.L.Bean has agreed to provide a $20,000 grant to Venture Outdoors in celebration of their Pittsburgh store opening at Ross Park Mall. This funding will be used to jump-start our Inclusivity Initiative, as well as help launch our new Family-Focused Trip Series in 2009.
- Jupe has a blog - I am so happy to find this bolg. Jupe is a great boutique on Carson Street. The ladies that own this store are great and I really appreciate that they offer lots of affordable items of clothing and accessories. Another great place to shop Pittsburgh.

- Designer Days: NCJW, - Each year the Pittsburgh chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women holds a massive clothing sale of new and used clothing at the Expo Mart. I have gottned some great things here in the past. If you are a clothing shopper this is worth a stop. The 2008 sale is on October 18 and 19.
- Flavorville Cafe - this is the BEST place for lunch in Pittsburgh. Mike fed me lunch almost daily for a year. Mike is awesome and this place is tasty and affordable. I can't believe I haven't blogged about them yet. I will have to make a visit there and write more about Flavorville.
- pairIncubator - World-Class Web Technology Incubator - this looks really cool - the folks behind pair networks are looking for a few good businesses to incubate. deadline is Jane 2, 2009.
