December 24, 2013 Lindsay Leave a Comment

I wanted to put up a post highlighting some of the incredible things that Pittsburghers are doing to help other Pittsburghers in need this season. I was writing the email about the 12 giveaways of Christmas last night and watching the local news – which was an impressive collection of stories of Pittsburhgers – and many anonymously – coming together and helping others in need. I’ve exchanged several emails with others this week – and the need this year in Pittsburgh is very real.  Thank you to everyone who has made an effort to make someones holiday season a little… Read the rest

12 Giveaways of Pittsburgh: #1-4

December 18, 2013 Lindsay 11 Comments

First of all, I want to thank everyone who donated to the CHS (Community Human Services) Christmas Fundraiser this year and who attended the event at Hough’s earlier this month.  Your generosity this holiday season is greatly appreciated.  I’ve just heard back from the folks at CHS and we have only raised HALF of what is needed to make sure that each of the people they serve have a gift for the holiday. For the past several years, I have joined with other Pittsburgh bloggers to support CHS holiday gift drive.  While all of the efforts to support worthy causes… Read the rest
