About the show
from Willie Dawson:
The art show in February always feature African American artists and it will continue as our grounding source. As artists, we have to understand the importance of all colors. United We Stand is our way of bringing like minded people of all colors together. We need positive visual images to strengthened people of all races working together for positive change in our communities, the arts as well as in the world.
One of the founders of this event once said “the sun shines the same in every window.” This art show will highlight local visions by transforming the art gallery into a home. The art would be displayed in what would be the window of the house as well as art work in the home. We will take advantage of local silk screening teens for textile art such as pillows and window treatments. All participants will be honored on TV screens and digital frames throughout the home.
