Christine Smith grew up adventuring throughout the bohemian San Francisco Bay Area then moved to culture-soaked Los Angeles to study Art History at UCLA. After moving to Pittsburgh six years ago she started Treading Art to continue her work as a Cultural Curator. She recently launched a membership program, Connect / Collect, that cultivates art collecting through distinguished experiences.
A few words from the curator:
“Having worked in younger cities before moving to Pittsburgh it’s a privilege to be a part of AAP’s spring exhibition history. The artistic world in this city continually inspires and impresses me and I’m ecstatic to work with talent that is new to me as well as with those that I’ve admired for some time. It was refreshing to let the artists who applied inspire the show’s theme versus start the process with it all figured out.” – Christine Smith
