Pittsburgh neighborhoods are abound with arts festivals this summer, but the first Pittsburgh Visionary Arts Festival promises to be a bringing together more than 50 local visionary artists and art innovators into a single venue. Your Town, Inc. is an exhibit at the Miller Gallery, curated by Astria Suparak, at Carnegie Mellon University showcasing 80 photographs by Julia Christensen from her new book Big Box Reuse. I attended the Sundae Market last fall – they do a really nice job of bringing together a great group of vendors and the new and improved Schenley Park Entrance is the perfect venue. Oakland is probably the most delicious neighborhood in Pittsburgh. More tasty treats are packed into a few blocks, all conveniently located near hospitals and universities. This event looks like it is a recipe for success – $5 gets you free samples at 24 local dining establishments plus free admission to the Carnegie museum and free rides on the carousel more

It is the most wonderful time of the year in Pittsburgh, and I am talking about more than the weather. It is time for the annual Saint Nicholas Greek Food Festival of deliciousness.
